Make a Pair of Sterling Silver Earrings: Half Day Workshop

Join us for a hands-on experience where you’ll craft your very own pair of sterling silver earrings using recycled sterling silver. Whether you choose to make elegant studs or graceful dangly earrings, you’ll be guided every step of the way using traditional silversmithing techniques and tools.

Upon arrival, Sarah or Violeta will warmly welcome you with a choice of freshly brewed tea or coffee. By the end of your session, you’ll leave with a finished pair of earrings that you’ve designed, shaped, and polished yourself.

You’ll begin by learning how to saw your silver—available in recycled sheet or wire form—using a jeweller’s saw. Once you’ve cut your shapes, you’ll refine and file them to perfection, then choose your own unique combination of textures and finishes. There’s time to experiment with a variety of samples before committing to your final design.

If you opt for dangly earrings, you’ll also learn to make your own ear wires, tailored to your preferred length and style. The final stage is cleaning and refining—a satisfying task, especially if you love a meticulous finish.

Materials are not included in the workshop price. Most participants spend between £20–£50 on materials, and we’re happy to walk you through your options before you begin.

No experience necessary.
