Turn a treasured piece of sea glass into a stunning sterling silver pendant you’ll cherish forever.
Whether you’ve collected sea glass on your favourite beach or choose from our beautiful selection, this immersive full-day workshop will teach you the traditional silversmithing skills needed to transform it into a unique pendant set in 100% recycled sterling silver.
Designed for complete beginners, this workshop offers the perfect introduction to stone setting and silver jewellery making. With expert guidance throughout the day, you’ll be amazed at what you can create.
No previous experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm, and we’ll teach you the rest.
What You’ll Learn
During the workshop you’ll be introduced to the essential techniques used by professional jewellers to create a bespoke sea glass pendant.
You’ll learn how to:
- Select the perfect piece of sea glass for your design.
- Design a pendant to complement the natural shape of your sea glass.
- Measure and create a bespoke sterling silver bezel.
- Cut, shape and solder your silver using traditional silversmithing techniques.
- Form and fit a sterling silver backplate.
- Create and attach a bail for your pendant.
- Set your sea glass securely into its handmade setting.
- File, sand and polish your finished pendant to a beautiful professional finish.
Throughout the day you’ll gain confidence using professional jeweller’s saws, files, soldering torches and polishing equipment.
Your Experience
Begin your day with a warm welcome, tea, coffee and biscuits before settling into our friendly studio.
Working in a small group, you’ll receive plenty of one-to-one tuition, allowing you to work at your own pace in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Every piece of sea glass is beautifully unique, meaning no two pendants will ever be the same. Whether your sea glass is soft aqua, frosted white, seafoam green or deep cobalt blue, your finished piece will tell its own story.
At Corzo & Wood, we’re passionate about sustainable jewellery making, which is why we use 100% recycled sterling silver in all of our workshops.
You’ll Take Home
By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a beautifully handcrafted sea glass pendant, professionally set in sterling silver and ready to wear or gift.
More importantly, you’ll have learnt the traditional silversmithing techniques used to create bezel-set jewellery and gained the confidence to continue your jewellery-making journey.
Many of our students discover a passion for silversmithing and return to create rings, earrings and gemstone jewellery in our other workshops.
