Whether you’re an absolute beginner or looking to build on existing skills, this tailored session is shaped entirely around your ideas, pace, and level of experience. You’ll learn traditional silversmithing techniques step by step, with expert guidance throughout—from sketching your design to the final polish.

What to Expect

We’ll begin with a brief overview of the techniques available and chat through your design ideas. Then, using the appropriate tools and materials, we guide you through each stage of the making process, including:

• Measuring and sizing your jewellery
• Marking and sawing silver with a piercing saw
• Filing to refine shapes
• Annealing with a blowtorch to soften and shape
• Creating texture with hammers or pliers
• Soldering components together
• Cleaning and pickling
• Finishing techniques: sanding, burnishing, polishing or oxidising

Every workshop is unique—whether you’re making a ring, pendant, or something more intricate, we’ll adapt the process to suit your piece.
