Wow… the year we have all had!
Our worlds have been turned upside down, but our families have been there every step of the way.
Whilst our days have recently consisted of the familiar commute to the kitchen table aka working from home, teaching our children and caring for our elder relatives, we have indeed needed a comforting shoulder to cry on. Seeking reassurance, love, comfort and answers, who do we turn to?
Our mums, or special female someone; you know those go to ladies that seemingly have all golden nuggets of wisdom, heaps of love and the ability to show us that life does carry on. As my own mum said right at the beginning, says Sarah. “We will get through this; we have done in past history”.
So, we have found them mostly on the end of the phone, on zoom (a new skill to many of us) and they held our hands throughout world changing events, moments of sadness and the magical wonderful moments too. Life does go on and as we start to emerge into our old lives again, but sadly it is just too soon to see these special people in person this month. They really deserve to be spoilt, this year more than ever!
