Make your own Wedding Rings: Full Day Workshop

This is the perfect gift for a couple preparing for their special day. How romantic to receive this from your future bride or groom as a gift! You could also buy this experience for yourself, a friend or relative.

You will be welcomed by Sarah or Violeta at 10 am and served tea or coffee and by 5:30 pm you will have made your Wedding Rings! Why not make each other’s rings?

Using traditional silversmithing techniques and tools you will learn how to cut out your silver ring with a jewellers’ saw. You will file it to the perfect shape. Then using a blowtorch, you will learn the annealing technique which is used to soften the metal so that it can be shaped using jewellers’ hammers and a mandrel. The challenging part is the soldering of the ring, you will be given step-by-step guidance. You will be given plenty of opportunities to experiment with textures on a copper sheet before moving on to your silver ring. After practising on some copper, you may choose to add some texturing detail to your ring. Next is the cleaning and refining stage, which can be extremely satisfying if you are a perfectionist!

Our full-day wedding ring workshop is £370 for two people (including the cost of the rings in sterling silver) This workshop is suitable for beginners. You will make the rings using traditional silversmithing techniques.  You will be able to decide on your  combination of textures and finishes. You will have the option of using sterling silver in sheet or wire form and learn how to apply texture.

The cost includes a consultation meeting to be booked in person before your workshop to run through your ideas and to ensure that we have the metal required for the rings.

We would require a 50% deposit on booking and the remainder two weeks before the workshop.

Whilst you are attending the workshop you will get 10% off all full-priced items in the shop.
