Make an Antique Silver Spoon Ring or Sugar Tong Bangle Workshop

Sarah or Violeta will welcome you and serve you tea or coffee, and by the end of your workshop, you will create your own piece of jewelry from an antique spoon or sugar tong! This is a perfect way to upcycle an antique piece of cutlery and make a contemporary heirloom and a beautiful piece of jewellery.

Using traditional silversmithing techniques, you will turn your sterling silver cutlery into a beautiful and unique ring or bangle that you can take home on the day.

Materials not included

The course price does not include the cost of materials.  You are welcome to bring your own sterling silver spoon or sugar tongs to the workshop. Please note, the cutlery must be silver. You can check if your cutlery has a hallmark by using this guide to find out more. You can arrange to bring the cutlery in or send us a photo of the marking, and we can check it for you.

Alternatively, you can buy your antique spoon or sugar tong from us.  Please let us know in advance if you would like to buy from us. Depending on the age of the spoons/tongs they range from £25 – £85.

No experience necessary

This workshop is suitable for those with no experience or for those who want to come back and work on their own projects.  Our students have described the workshops as “relaxing, therapeutic, fun, creative, enjoyable, addictive and great value.”
